This is a discount car company based in Hawaii that pulled off a miracle for the Volleyball group. They wanted two 15 passenger vans and there was nothing available, but this company pulled a rabbit out of a hat. Not only that, they are so much cheaper than anything we could book for cars, vans, et. I highly recommend them to you and the staff. Thu 5/24/2007 2:57 PM		 I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know how extremely pleased I was with the service I received from "Jewell" at Thrifty Car rental office at Kona airport. I had made a reservation for a Sebring convertible prior to my arrival. Unfortunately, that type of car was not available. Jewell, however went that "extra step" to try to locate a car that would be acceptable. I ended up taking a Jeep temporarily until a car more suitable was returned. She followed up with me on the following day and had me in a PT cruiser which was more suited to my preferences. She provided above and beyond customer service and truly wanted to make sure I was happy with the car rental. My background includes managing offices and people in a service oriented environment. Employees like Jewell are very rare, and I would be extremely fortunate to have more employees like her on my staff. I was a little hesitant to use your service without a confirmation that included a major credit card. You know the old saying..."If a deal seems to good to be true, it probably is!" Well in this case, it did seem too good..and it was REALLY good! I hold two different corporate rates with major rental car companies and you were able to save me over 30%! Not only are the savings are great, but your service via e-mail/website was very proficient. I rented a full size for a week and pickup and check-in/check-out with Thrifty in Waikiki was both quick and friendly. (I even received an upgrade to a luxury vehicle at no additional cost!) I will recommend your service to all those that cross my path, and I'll be sure to use you again in both the near and distant future! Mike B

The Car rental agency Thrifty Car Rental, is the best Car Rental Agency we have used. We have been to Maui A good 20 times over the years, and this was the best car rental experience we have had. They were efficient, friendly and pain free. Because their lot is not as big as some, we were helped right away and had an amazing car with 5 minutes. We will definitely use Discount Hawaii Car Rental, but will request Thrifty Car rental for sure.

I just had to tell you that our experience with the whole car rental for this vacation was dream like. S I M P L E. From the online reservation to the rental car return, it was as smooth as it could ever be. The folks at Thrifty were friendly, the car was great and the return shuttle was there waiting at the very early hour of 6am. I could not of been more pleased. My mother has always loved PT Cruiser convertibles and she was so excited all week that that was the car we had. You've been great to deal with. Getting the reservations was easy and the rates were lower than otherwise available. Thrifty was great also. The operation in Kona was ship shape. The people in Honolulu were on top of their game also. In addition, when I brought the van back in HNL, the person checking me in noticed that the computer was charging me a full day for the 4 or 5 hours over the deadline, which I wasn't paying attention to and would not have noticed. She mentioned it to me and when I told her that I was picking up another car, she suggested that I talk to the person inside about waiving that extra day. The inside person did and I felt as though they were looking out of me as well as the company. Steve M.

The time from check in to the shuttle was less than five minutes! The car was a very comfortable Nissan Altima, nearly new, with a huge trunk, fabulous A/C, and excellent gas mileage. Ron, I don't know how you guys did it - but, I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. I first went to USAA (an insurance company for the military), got their member discounted rate for Avis, Budget and Hertz. I kept the same criteria for everyone to keep it even across the board. Then I went to the other rental agencies and did the same thing. Dollar was $314.13, Enterprise was $272.57, Thrifty was $303.04, and National was $277.08. I did exactly what your web site said to do to compute an approximate total cost and I came up with $177.60. You can't imagine my surprise when your confirmation said it would be $171.87 with none of the extra charges added on in case the wife wanted to use the car one day to go shopping. As you can tell, I love it when I get a DEAL! Thank you so much, Dave D.

In fact, when we returned the car and the Thrifty agent figured up the charges, he said, "Wow, this is a really good rate!" We referred the other 3 couples that were traveling with us, and they had the same reaction. One couple saved more than $125 over Hertz's preferred rate for the same week. To whom it may concern, I really do appreciate your computer car rental service on the internet, best deals etc. It is by far the most convenient method I've ever used. the past 40 years as I usually return to the islands two or three times a year. As difficult as it usually is, we can do this at our convenience and yours as well. I've used your service twice the past month and this will be the only way for me, from here on out.
