THINGS TO DO IN POIPU
Koloa Farmers market
Weekly market that showcases the local farmers abundance. This part of the world is famous for its fresh produce, the fruit and veggies are very flavorful. Food trucks can be found at these as well, when you need some local poke, followed by a shave ice! Ono! (Delicious!)
Spouting Horn
This natural wonder is caused by seawater running up under lava and out through a hole. The spray can reach 50 ft and it actually groans. Sunset is the best time to view as the spray turns rainbow incandescent. Stay behind the barriers, it is a very dangerous place to get too close.
Poipu Beach Park
A favorite family beach for it has a natural wading pool and lifeguards on site. This beach is great for snorkeling, boogie boarding and experienced surfers. Having picnic tables, playground, restrooms and showers it makes for an all day excursion. Marine life is plenty and you might even get lucky enough to see an endangered monk seal napping on the sand.
