Do I need to rent a van on the Big Island?

How old do I need to be to rent a Van?
You must be at least 20 years old to rent a van. Not all car companies will rent vans to young drivers (20-24 years of age) so if in doubt, call us so we can help you with the best option: 1 800 292-1930. Young drivers may or may not be able to use a debit card, depending on the car company. Young drivers may have the benefit of $8/day young driver fees added at the counter instead of the usual $25+ with some of our car companies. It is always wise to read the detailed instructions for the car company you are looking at to make sure you qualify. And if you have questions, we are always here to help.
What do I need to rent a Van?
To pick up your van rental on the Big Island, you will need your driver’s license, passport, and a debit card or credit card in the main driver’s name. Debit card users must be at least 25 years old. Some car rental companies will not rent vans to young drivers between 20-24. Always check with us if in doubt.
