Most visitors, nearly 2 million yearly, will be arriving at the Kahului Airport. Rental car pick up is made easy due to the recently built, state of the art rental facility that hosts all of the best car rental agencies in Hawaii. This facility is accessed by a dedicated electric tram from outside of the baggage claim at the airport. As this is the primary entry point on the island there tends to be the broadest selection of discount rental cars often with the lowest rates.
Many traveling inter-island will be touching down at the Kapalua airport (JHM). This smaller, daytime only airport receives approximately 40,000 passengers yearly. One of the most popular water activities in Wailea is snorkeling. This may be due to the crystal clear waters and supporting reefs that draw schools of exotic fish and Sea Turtles. Gentle, warm ocean conditions invite novice divers, surfers and paddle boarders alike.

You will be impressed with the shopping options that are within walking distance from the resorts. Purchasing opportunities range from upscale handbags, to trendy clothing and accessories, local souvenirs, and works of art. You just may end up needing another suitcase for your return home (they sell suitcases too!).

What are the requirements for renting a car?
